March 2025 Wednesdays: Livestock and Homesteading
$120 Per child, per month. Ages 5-12 years old
8am-12pm, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19
Wednesdays in March : 8am-10am (Morning chores) 10am- 12pm Homestead (Maple Sugaring)
At Main Farm: Main MBF: 4980 Windham Hill Rd, Windham, VT 05359 [Red Barn w/bee]
Livestock Workshops: Young Farmers will work on their Poultry, Sheep, and Livestock & Farming Badges by tending to AM chores, routine care for our animals, and other seasonal projects in the barnyard!
Maple Sugaring Workshops: Young Farmers will work towards their Maple Sugaring Badges, gathering buckets of sap water, learning and observing how the evaporator works it’s magic, and finally.. bottling and tasting the maple syrup they helped make!
Students will be fed 2 farm meals a day. Students will need to take their binders to and from the farm in order to work on their Badge checklists at home to earn their badges at their own pace. Parents are asked to assist them and are permitted to add their initials to badge checklists through their progress.
